In a shocking incident that created a stir in the local community, an attempt was made to kill Md Abul Hussain, a prominent businessman in Dhamrai with an extortion of bdt 5 lakh from his shop. Authorities are actively investigating the case, which has raised concerns about an increase in crime in the area. According to sources, 45-year-old Abul Hossain was attacked at a shop in Dhamrai area yesterday at 2:45 pm. The attacker said. 15 people including Rakib Hossain entered Abul's shop and confronted him with weapons. Abul was injured but is currently in a stable condition at a local hospital. Initial reports suggest the attackers specifically targeted the businessman for a substantial amount of cash that he was known to keep in stores. The robbers, after injuring them, managed to escape with BDT 5 lakh, which was kept in the businessman's safe.Local police have launched a search for suspects and are following several leads, including examining CCTV footage from nearby surveillance cameras and interviewing witnesses. "This was a brazen act of violence and robbery," the police chief said, adding, "We are deploying all resources to track down the perpetrators and bring them to justice."The incident has stirred fear among local residents and business owners, many of whom are concerned about their safety. Community leaders are calling for increased police presence and improved security measures in the area to prevent similar incidents in the future.
Abul’s family has expressed their gratitude for the swift law care he received and has appealed to the public for any information that could aid the investigation. "We are shaken by this event but are hopeful that justice will be served," said Abul’s shop manager, abdul kholil.
