| Dhaleshari river |
Various rivers across the country are illegally lifting sand from canals and bills. They are so reckless that they have to contend with the laws and allow the environment, including other offices, to look at their illegal activities.Illegal sand lifting in Dhaleswari along the Araralia village of Dhamrai Upazila of Dhaka. Not only the Dhamra, but also the capital of Dhaka, terrorists have established the rule of terror in illegally lifting sand in rivers of different parts of the country. On the ground floor, members of the ward of Kula Union's 9th ward, Sanjay Sarkar and Sitol, have two more names. We think it is important to address the important issues like environment, against illegal sand lifters across the country. There is no alternative person to take action.Worryingly, illegal sand lifters are not only tired of picking up sand but are desperate to catch rivers and canals. They are obstructing the flow of water by constructing river banks to facilitate illegal sanding. As a result, problems like waterlogging are also being created in some areas during the monsoon. Local influential leaders are patronizing the illegal sand-lifters in such a calamity, and even the police in the field are silent on the masoharas. In this situation, there is no alternative to strict action against pollution of rivers and environment. In this case, good governance needs to be introduced by taking exemplary action for Dhamrai Iceland. We are hopeful that this will be done quickly through the arrest of the land robber and under the law.Unfortunately, the court has instructed at various times to stop illegal sand lifting and river capture and pollution; But no action was taken in this regard. We do not understand why, despite the high court's directive, strict action is not taken against illegal occupants and sand lifters. Work can be done with the Joint Task Force of the Department of Environment, Water Development Board, Police and Local Administration to solve the problem. The current government has declared zero tolerance against corruption. In the interest of the environment, infrastructure and overall development of the country, illegal occupation and lifting of sand should prove the goodwill of the concerned by taking a firm stand against the threat posed by the environment.
